With the goal of avoiding taxes, avoiding probate and ensuring a plan for the future of heirs and beneficiaries, Susan sets up and maintains clients’ estate plans, ranging from simple wills to revocable living trusts, IRA trusts, special needs trusts, and irrevocable trusts, along with powers of attorneys, health care directives, and nominations of guardians.

Susan also has extensive experience with estate administration, both testate (with a will) and intestate (without a will), in multiple counties across the state. She can assist your family with your estate questions, and she can answer your questions and communicate with the courts on your behalf and assist with Special Proceedings or estate hearings as necessary.

Susan is committed to assisting her clients with all of their business needs, no matter how big or small the business may be. From helping her clients choose and establish the right business entity to creating the business forms and agreements required for their businesses to selling, merging or dissolving their businesses, Susan is able to help while being sensitive to the budgetary constraints of her clients.

Her background in tax, real estate, and business law allows Susan to be particularly helpful to her business clients who want to plan for the succession of their business, such as buy-sell agreements (including life insurance trusts and key man policies), shareholder agreements, leases, and operating agreements.  The combination of Susan’s areas of expertise enables her to represent her business clients fully with both their business and estate planning needs to ensure they are adequately prepared for the future.
